Bombay Duck Dry Curry/Bengali Loitta Macher Bharta (Jhuri)

LOTE MACHER JHURI
(BOMBAY DUCK DRY CURRY)
Using Rice cooker
                         
 

Ingredients:





1.       Lote Mach (Bombay duck) – 500 gm


2.       Onion – 150-200 gm


3.       Ginger & Garlic paste – 50-75 gm


4.       Tomato – 100 gm


5.       Coriander leaves – 25 gm


6.       Chilly – As required


7.       Turmeric powder – 2 Tbsp


8.       Cumin Powder _ 1.5 Tbsp

9.       Chat masala (ar as your taste) - 2 Tbsp

10.   Salt – As required

11.   Mustard Oil – 75 ml
 
 




 

 

 


Method:

1.       Take the fishes and discard the heads, wash well. Then boil it for 2-3 min. Then remove all  bony (fish bone).



2. Take a bowl, add ginger-garlic paste, masala powders (cumin, turmeric),onion and tomato with fish, mix well and keep it for half hour. Keep half amount of all those ingredients aside.
3.       Heat oil in a rice cooker, (add a small amount of sugar for taste) add excess amount of onion, tomato, ginger-garlic paste, all masalas, Salt respectively.
 
4.       When this mixture is fried well add fish with it and cook until fried perfectly(approx. 15-20 min)
 


5.       When you think that it is perfectly cooked, add chat masala ( You can use garam masala also) and serve hot with rice.
